Brett Lund’s experience in Forensic
Document Examination began 19 years ago while employed as a
Detective/Criminal Investigator with the Billings Montana Police
Department as there was a growing need to examine stolen forged
checks and fraudulent credit card transactions. Upon the completion
of his initial training conducted by the U.S. Secret Service he
began examining documents as they pertained to fraud-related crimes.
During the past 19 years he has developed an expertise and
reputation as a court qualified Handwriting Expert after having
examined hundreds of documents and also examining handwriting
samples/exemplars provided to him by individuals for comparison
purposes.
In addition to providing his expertise as a Handwriting Expert to
the Billings Montana Police Department he has also been called upon
to provide this specialized skill to other law enforcement agencies
throughout the state of Montana and Wyoming. He has also been
contacted by other government agencies. He has been retained as a
Handwriting Expert by private attorneys, law firms, organizations,
and private individuals in Montana, Wyoming, and California in which
he has testified as a Handwriting Expert in local, state, and
federal courts for both Plaintiffs and Defense counsel.
